Crew neck sweaters
Blackberry Crew
A very traditional sweater with the Blackberries, sometimes called Trinity stitch, in the centre panel and Diamonds and cables to the sides.

Basket Weave Crew
In this designer style the pattern changes in each panel. It just requires more concentration to follow than some of the other styles. The weave on the bottom gives this sweater its name. Other stitches used are Single Moss (seed stitch), Tree of Life, and Trellis. This is a shorter style than the traditional sweater.

Lumbers / Jackets
The lumber is buttoned up to the neck and the jacket has a collar. The collar is knitted in a Twisted rib pattern that gives it a firm texture. Both versions are included in each pattern.
Blackberry Centre
Knitted in the same design as the Blackberry crew, this is probably the most popular design of Irish Jackets.

Honeycomb Centre
The Honeycomb is a closer stitch than the Blackberry and represents the hard work of the busy bee. Diamonds and cables complete the pattern.

Blackberry Xcable
This lumber style is mainly a blackberry pattern intersected by a large crossed cable panel up each front. The pockets are at the sides. Once you know how to make the blackberries we guide you through the rather tricky ways to increase and to decrease the blackberry stitch.

Cable Hooded Jackets
Four different sizes of cables make up the pattern.
The pockets are at the sides. We include instructions for making this in a lumber style for those who prefer it without the hood.

Basketweave Jacket
The design is the same for this lumber style as for the crew. The front bands are knitted in Single Moss and there are pockets at the sides. This is also a shorter style than the traditional lumber.

Lace Tie-back Cardigan
The mixture of designs in this garment requires concentration. The back just has a lacy stitch (you could knit it in one evening) and two ties are attached to pull the fullness in to fit. You knit the fronts first, as these have more pattern, then knit the back to measure the same to the armhole and full length. Less rows are needed on the back to equal the length of the fronts.
This is one for dressy occasions.
$110 - add $20 for sizes over 46" for extra yarn
For Tweed yarns add $15
Horizontal Jacket
The horizontal panels in this jacket are worked in different designs and need adjustments in the numbers of stitches to suit each pattern. It has side pockets and the stitches used are Blackberry, Trellis, Fan, and the yoke is in Blackberry. An unusual feature is that the cuffs are worked in Blackberry.
