Scarf (3)
Try a scarf to get started and practice the techniques of Aran knitting. You can concentrate on your pattern without having to worry about shaping. Choose from the Diamond, the Blackberry or the Plait design. The scarf may be knitted in any length and there will be sufficient wool in your kit for up to 66” long. They average 9 inches in width

Skicap (3)
The hats are in both ladies and men’s sizes and can be knitted in any of the 3 designs to match the scarves – Diamond, Blackberry or Plait. They have a generous rib of 4 inches so that they can be pulled down over the ears.

Mitts
Keep your hands warm in pure wool with either of our 2 designs of mitts. You can try the Diamond or the Plait design but we do not offer the blackberry design as the blackberry stitch is not a close enough stitch to hold in the warmth of the wool.

Gloves
Knitted on the round. The traditional Ringwood pattern is a very old Irish design dating back to the beginning of the century. We have not been able to find out where the name Ringwood came from but it has been handed down from knitter to knitter through the years.
We have written the pattern from a pair knitted for us by an elderly lady who learned to knit them from her mother.
